So you want to reset ALL data on your phone? For whatever reason your doing this, be sure to backPlease follow the instructions below to do so.
Note that all data will be LOST. This does NOT delete any data stored data on your microSD card. If you need to, backup any data before continuing.
Instructions to Hard Reset the HTC EVO 4G
- Turn the power off and pull the battery out and reinsert it
- Hold the Volume Down button
- Press and release the Power button
- You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
- Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
- Press and release the Power button
- Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO
- If you selected YES, all data including third-party applications will be deleted from the HTC EVO 4G. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state
How to Format MicroSD Card
To wipe any data stored on your microSD card, simply pull the card from the phone and insert into a microSD card reader on your PC. Go to My Computer or Computer (Windows 7) and right click the microSD card. Select the format option. Select the format you wish to use and continue. Your microSD card will not be formatted and all data will be lost.
